Classroom

The DriveWise classroom training is a program that is highly interactive which increases learning retention.  When students retain what they learn it keeps them safer on the roadways.

One of the ways we have made the classroom training interactive is by adding this little device known as CPS Unit (classroom performance system) - allows our program to be interactive.  By giving this device to each student, instantly they become engaged in the activity at hand.  We have quizzes dispursed throughout our program and the students answer the quiz questions using this device.  The are now involved in their own learning.  PLUS - the instructional team gets instanteous feedback to ensure that the students understand the concepts just taught.  If the quiz was about "merging onto the Freeway" with instant results we will ensure every student understands this concept  - before attempting that maneuver in real life!!!

DriveWise Oakville is please to provide classroom smaller class sizes.  The Ministry of Transportation in Ontario our regulating body, allows us to have up to 40 students per class.  However, the Ministry of Education in Ontario has identified that optimal learning environment happens in classes with no more then 24 students per class.  So DriveWise Oakville decided to limit our class sizes to 20 students per program.  In addition DriveWise Oakville adds an additional instructor to the classroom after the class size reaches 10 students.  Therefore we guarantee a 1 to 10 ratio of instructor to students!

DriveWise is the ONLY Driving School in Oakville to include integrated hands on driver training simulation labs in the classroom. Simulator Driver Training labs are part of the 20 hours of classroom training time.
